50-MINUTE PRIVATE SESSIONS
Tailored Specifically for Your Child
LITERACY
Learning to read is an incredibly complicated task, and state standards are asking kids to be fully fluent readers who can comprehend and analyze their text by the 3rd Grade. K-2 is a time to build strong foundational skills so they can be successful readers in the long run.
My Literacy sessions are 30-50 minutes and target practice in any or all of the following, depending on your child's skill level: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Reading Fluency, Comprehension, Spelling and Writing. In our first session, I will lead a series of assessment activities to help pinpoint what exactly some gaps may be in your child's Literacy skills. From there, I will custom tailor future sessions to address those gaps and adjust as needed.
MATHEMATICS
K-2 Mathematics builds wonderfully on itself to prepare students for higher concept math, but children can often develop gaps in their understanding during the K-2 years. This leads to new concepts introduced in the classroom becoming increasingly challenging to grasp.
My Mathematics sessions are 30-50 minutes and target practice in any or all of the following, depending on your child's skill level: Counting, Number Sense and Fluency, Addition and Subtraction, Base Ten Fluency, Measurement, and Geometry. I design my lessons according to each student's needs, with an emphasis on structured practice and confidence-boosting activities.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Contact me. I will reach back out to set up an introductory phone call. During the phone call we will choose a date for an in-person Trial Session.
2. The Trial Session is $50 for 50 minutes, with no commitment to future sessions.
3. If you decide to continue with my services after the first trial session, I ask that you commit to 5-10 future sessions so that your child is getting regular, structured practice. Future sessions are $70 for 30 minutes / $100 for 50 minutes .
